Ford EcoSport launch in April-May
The most anticipated SUV launch this year will be a grand one but it will be in the next fiscal year. This means that Ford Ecosport launch will be sometime in April or May. This latest information about Ecosport SUV launch has put brakes on all speculations of this month’s launch. Still some surmise that this new Ford car will be launched this month only. Expected to be priced around Rs 8 lakh the new SUV is believed to be a game changer for the American car maker which is feeling the heat of slow sales in the country. The February sales data is not at all conducive for Ford and it seems that this new SUV is only going to bring some good news.
Meanwhile, in order to promote and increase awareness about this upcoming SUV, the car maker has launched the Ford EcoSport Urban Discoveries Campaign in which it has invited some of the best minds to explore their city and the best of three discoveries will be awarded with this SUV while the other winning teammates will get international holiday package. Thus there are big plans by Ford to launch this car in a grand way and this campaign is an integral part of it that will not only increase its anticipation but will also increase its fan base well ahead of its launch.
Notably, the recent budget has made a little spoilsport for SUVs and it is believed that this will also be a little more priced as compared to earlier because of the increase in excise duty on SUVs more than 4 meter in length. Thus if there is a price appreciation just ahead of its launch, it will make its tussle with Renault Duster and Mahindra Quanto all the more tougher in the segment. These two SUVs are recently doing a great work in the segment and have brought some of the best known sales wonders to their respective car makers. Meanwhile, expecting some good numbers from EcoSport, the car maker believes it to be a product of wonder just like the Ford Figo car.
