Ford EcoSport launched in China at INR 8.30 lakh
Ford Ecosport is one of the highly anticipated cars in India that was launched in the neighbouring country, China. In China, Ford has priced EcoSport at 94,800 RMB which is equal to INR 8.30 lakh for the basic version while the high end trim is priced at 127,800 RMB (INR 11.19lakh). EcoSport has been rolled out in six trims in China, the famous 1.0 litre EcoBoost version is also on offer there. Ford in alliance with their Chinese partner Chang’an is manufacturing EcoSport locally in China. As compared to the Brazilian version, China bound EcoSport will have exaggerated proportions.
Dimensions of the China bound SUV are more than the Brazilian version with, 4,280 mm of length as compared to 4,241mm, 1,785 mm width as against 1,765 mm. It also has an enhanced wheelbase of 2,530 mm as compared to 2,521 mm wheelbase of the Brazilian version.
India is too eagerly waiting for EcoSport compact SUV, the SUV was first showcased at the 2012 Auto Expo held in Delhi. Ever since its first appearance at the grandiose show Indian car market is awaiting its launch. June 2013 is when Ford will launch EcoSport compact SUV in India, the SUV was uncovered in two big cities of India viz; Delhi and Mumbai last week. The price of EcoSport will determine its fate in the Indian car market. EcoSport is expected to be launched in both petrol and diesel engine options in the Indian car market.
