Ford EcoSport launched in India
In the sparkling ceremony in Delhi, the US auto giant Ford Motors, has launched the all-new much anticipated second generation Ford EcoSport Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV). The uncovering of 2012 Ford EcoSport was the global premier of the crossover that was exclusively held in India by Ford Motors. The price though is not announced by the company, but will a great value for money as said by Ford India Head. Industry experts predict it to be priced somewhere around Rs 7 lakh to Rs 9 lakh.

The Ford EcoSport with a greener 1.0L Ecoboost engine is compact enough to fit very well in the urban traffic and easy to park. The 1.0L Ecoboost 3-cylinder turbocharged direct-injection petrol engine rests under the smooth bonnet that will generate an amazing power of 120 bhp combined with incredible torque of 170 Nm; this sort of performance can only be delivered by 1.6L motor, that too eco-friendly at the discharge of less than 140g/km CO2. The company assures that when it will go under production and will be available for sales it’s going to be a high-quality product with more value for money.

The Ford EcoSport is a solution from Ford Motors for the car-buyers who are looking for ‘more’ than just a car. According to MD of Ford Motors India, Mr. Michael Boneham, the company will invest US dollars 142 million to produce this new global compact SUV at Ford’s Chennai based manufacturing unit.
