Ford EcoSport launches in Nepal at Rs 17.9 lakh

Ford Ecosport, the much popular compact SUV (Sports Utility Vehicle) from the stable of Ford India has also been launched in Nepali market yesterday. In that market the Ecosport SUV will be sold through GO Ford, the official distributors for Ford vehicles in Nepal. Just like India, the beast has been offered to Nepali customers in three engine options like 1.0L EcoBoost petrol, 1.5L petrol and 1.5L diesel.

Ford Ecosport price in Nepal for the base variant of 1.5L petrol model starts at NPR 2,850,000 (INR 17.9 lakhs) while, the top-end variant of the 1.5L diesel model is priced at NPR 4,290,000 (INR 26.94 lakhs). In Nepal it will be available with two gearbox options such as 5-speed manual and 6-speed dual clutch automatic transmission. Just like India, Ecosport in that market has also been introduced in 7 colors including Mars Red, Kinetic Blue, Diamond White, Moondust Silver, Chill Metallic, Sea Grey and Panther Black.

The Ford Ecosport in Nepal is being imported from India through the CBU route. And due to about 200 per cent customs duty in Nepal price of the vehicle is like a premium SUVs. Ford India has very well market share in Nepali auto market and already selling the Figo hatchback and Fiesta sedan.
