Ford Ecosport production ready model spotted!

Ford Ecosport has been in the news since the 2012 Auto Expo in India and every now and then camouflage pictures come and claim to be production ready model. But now a Brazilian website managed to get the true production ready images of the 2012 Ford Ecosport. If you see those pictures, you will not notice any prominent difference in the concept model shown at Auto Expo and the clicked one. So, we can expect that the sizzling concept model will come in India very soon.

Ford has been in buzz these days, due to its much anticipated Ford EcoSport. Earlier this car was spied undergoing tests on the shores of China and South America, however, extra details could not be derived. This time, it is in Brazil where EcoSport production model has been captured before the car was taken for the crash tests. Already, the exteriors of this car have been showcased in India at the Auto Expo Delhi, 2012. The recently produced model of this car looks more blendy and aggressive. Head lamps have no LED lights this time, but even then it looks appealing. In addition, the iconic Ford front grille with kinetic designing concept has got chrome accents and the fog lamps too have been ringed with chrome.

However, the tail lamps are somewhat similar to the earlier showcased concept model of this car. The inside glance of EcoSport is going to carry exotic designing and inner door trims that have also been done in the newly launched Fiesta three-box. Moreover, the structure of alloy wheels is also as same as its concept model and sources say that the company has used the 15 inches rims with Pirelli Scorpion ATR tyres in this car. The variant that was tested in Brazil was the ‘Freestyle’ variant from the EcoSport fleet.

It is expected that the production prototype of this compact crossover would be showcased at the forthcoming Shanghai Motor Show. Ford EcoSport is going to be powered by a 1.0 liter EcoBoost petrol engine that will be calibrate enough to toss maximum power of 120 PS. In the Indian auto-market, EcoSport is speculated to be launched around festive season in India and as far as the price is concerned, this compact SUV is speculated to fall in the range of Rs. 7 lakh to Rs. 8 lakh.
