The 2013 Geneva Motor Show is expected to be quite a stunner this time. But way before its commencement, Ford has revealed the Euro-Spec Ford EcoSport Crossover. If we compare this one with the yet to be launched Indian version of EcoSport, the car will be seen with some cosmetic changes along with some bonus features. The European Market will surely give a warm welcome to this one accompanied by high a competition with Renault Duster, Peugeot 2008 and more.
So what’s so special in the new Ford EcoSport made for Europe? This one will be featuring alloy wheels that are designed differently. The spare wheel would be intacted on the tail gate that has a plastic cover on it. Furthermore, the exteriors come with an innovative front bumper with a satin strip that’s runs along with the middle. Similar kind of treatment has been given to the rear bumper. On the inside, the Euro-Spec EcoSport sports black dashboard, providing the cabin with a very sophisticated ambiance. The air conditioning bents are also dipped in satin black finishing. In contrast to this, the steering wheel has red stitching, while the SYNC infotainment system is present with voice activation. This one also features emergency assist and applink functions.
Technically speaking, the European market will get Ford EcoSport in three engine choices, 1.0-Litre EcoBoost turbo petrol engine, 1.5-Litre TiVCT petrol engine and 1.5-Litre TDCI turbo diesel engine. All these will be coupled with five-speed manual transmission. As for India, Ford EcoSport is likely to arrive in next couple of weeks and would be attached with an approximate price tag of Rs. 9 lakh. The sporty exteriors would act as one of the major highlights here and would be successful in charming one and all for sure.
