Ford Ecosport SUV, more details surge after China unveil

American car maker Ford has recently unveiled its Urban SUV Ford Ecosport in China. It proposes to launch the compact SUV in India this year. As per the information about this Ford SUV, it will be launched in India this Diwali. Ford India has also recently posted fresh details of the upcoming SUV in India. As per Ford, the Ecosport which is meant for Indian market will be highly fuel efficient and will target the Urban segment rather than true off roading. Expected to be priced around Rs 8.5 lakh, the Ford Ecosport is perhaps the most anticipated car launch this year.

Apart from Ford Ecosport, another SUV that will make this segment stiffer is the Renault Duster that has also been spotted testing in Chennai recently. Another compact SUV that is already in India is the Premier Rio which is not performing well following weak branding and other factors. Meanwhile, these upcoming compact SUVs has infused much anticipation in this segment lately.

As per the Ford India, the new SUV proposes contemporary styling, fuel efficiency and will have a high driving position. This Ford SUV will be powered by a 1 L Ford Engine which is the three cylinder ECoBoost petrol engine. This engine has become the benchmark of fuel economy and power delivery. In addition to this the Ecosport features will also include integration of Ford SYNC that will be an excellent tool to connect to the outside world.

In addition to the Indian market, the Ford Ecosport SUV will be produced in Thailand and South America. The Brazalian SUV that was unveiled in India at the January Auto Expo has created much sensation following its extraordinary design and high performance as well as high mileage. Notably, the Ford SUV is already in service in Brazil and it is the new generation of this Ford SUV that will be launched in India.
