Ford EcoSport Titanium TDCI spotted in Chennai
May be Ford India is hurrying up things to bring in the Ford Ecosport SUV earlier than expected as its rival SUV Renault Duster launch is scheduled next month. However, as per various reports the much expected event that has happened giving fire to the anticipation for the Ford Ecosport SUV. The upcoming Ford SUV has been caught in the lens while on a test run in Chennai. And all the more, the new SUV by Ford India thus spotted was in an almost production ready state with no bits of camouflage on it. The Ford Ecosport SUV price is expected to be Rs 8.5 lakh and initial guesses suggest a near Diwali launch.

As per the available information, the Ecosport’s Titanium TDCi model was spotted and there were many features that were from the lower trims. Overall, the Ford SUV looked the same that was revealed at the Auto Expo held in January this year. This diesel variant is expected to be the most selling trim and it would be the timing of the Ecosport launch that will decide the fate of the SUV. However, experts believe that Duster stands nowhere in front of Ecosport as the latter has much more established brand value than the earlier and people know Ford better than Renault.

The revealing test mule of the Ecosport has certainly made the Indian auto industry abuzz with much anticipation. It is expected that Ford might think of rescheduling the Ecosport launch earlier than Diwali as the Duster that is expected to be priced around Rs 7 lakh to Rs 8.5 lakh could sway the market to its side a little bit. This is also quite possible as the test mule that was spotted in Chennai is almost production ready with all badges and bar code on suggesting that it is one of the fully ready units.

Ford has taken so much of efforts with Ford EcoSport and made it look a complete stunner. The clean edges with flowing contours attracted me the most.
