Ford EcoSport to be exported by Ford India to Middle East!
Way before the launch of Ford EcoSport in India, Ford India is already planning to export the car to other countries. The latest plans of Ford suggest that its Ford EcoSport SUV will be exported to Middle East by the end of 2013. On the other hand, this exclusive crossover is expected to be launched in India in next couple of weeks. The price tag attached to it is likely to land around Rs. 9 lakh. However, the exact launch date hasn’t been set yet, but now Ford is gearing up to launch this car very soon in India.
Coming back to exporting the EcoSport SUV, Ford will export this one to Middle East by the end of 2013. The car will be powered 1.0 Litre of EcoBoost petrol engine that would be fuel efficient as well as a true performer. However, there are chances that the EcoSport to be exported from India to Middle East might be tailor made for it. Apparently, the firm is testing the 1.5 litre Ti-VCT petrol engine variant in India, which has been coupled with 6-Speed PowerShift Dual clutch Automatic Gearbox. If these specifications are present for the Middle East, the car could rock the show over there.
On the other hand, this 1.5 litre model of Ford EcoSport will not be launched in India. The main reason behind it is that the excise duty précised by the government will go up on the chart. However, for India, we could expect a 1.5 litre TDCI DuraTorq turbo diesel engine variant in future.Right now, the Indian car market is waiting with its heart for the launch of EcoSport here. The car has already hit a dealer in Delhi, which signals that the launch might soon happen in India.
