Ford EcoSport touches the mark of 1 lakh units
Ford EcoSport the best selling SUV from Ford India, the Indian arm of British car maker has also achieved the mark of 1 lakh units sold since its launch last year. According to sources of company it has managed to sale out 60,000 units of EcoSport in the domestic market. Commenting on the achievement of touching the mark of 1 lakh units Mr. Vinay Piparsani, said that the mark of 1 lakh units is undoubtedly a big achievement for every member in Ford family, moreover it also indirectly reveals the faith of customers towards the SUV.
Moving ahead Mr. Piparsani said that demand for EcoSport has grown gradually and company has also succeeded in meeting the demand of SUV according to requirement. With this the company had also managed to shorten the waiting period which in-fact has played an incredible role in increasing the sales of EcoSport to great extent. With this Mr. Piparsani also added that with sufficient availability of raw materials and sources company is speculating to commence third shift of production at its production plant located at Chennai so that its prospective buyers do not have wait for driving their favorite SUV to their home during the festive season.
Besides Indian car market EcoSport is also been exported to South Africa, Australia, Taiwan and various countries of European continent. The SUV is offered in both petrol and diesel variants and there is equal demand for both the variants in market.
