It will be launched in two different engine options and will also be available in automatic and manual transmissions options. As per the information, the company will be able to boost exports due to achieving few constructive factors like cost efficiency in the process of manufacturing at Chennai based plant.

Already in Brazil, China and some other countries, the Ecosport has impressed the car buyers wherever it is launched. In India, it is specially anticipated as a prime option to Renault Duster which is currently doing more than well in the segment. Almost as a ruler of the compact SUV segment, it is on behalf of Duster that Renault is able to four fold its sales. In export markets as well, the two will be rivals as they already are in some of the markets and probably Renault will also be targeting those markets, may be before or after the launch of Ecosport.
