Ford plans EcoSport and new Fiesta display at Auto Expo

With the intention to expand the business arms in the Asian market including the deafening Indian industry, Ford has sharp eye on the upcoming 2012 Auto Expo scheduled from 5th to 11th January in New Delhi. On its way of progress, the very first time company is planning to introduce the third generation Global vehicles like B-sized SUV Ford EcoSport & Ford Fiesta.

However, there is no detailed information out on this. The Ford EcoSport & Fiesta are sharing the same designing pattern; still there are various significant differences under the hood and interiors. The buyer’s demand and growing SUV market scope will favour the launch of Ford EcoSport SUV.

This SUV is going to draw the attention among power and performance loving people. Gracing with the 1.0 litre or 1.2 litre petrol engine, it is said to be giving a competitive overall performance. The rounder headlamps, spare wheel on the tailgate, plastic cladding and other designing features maintain the high portfolio of the car.

It has great resemblance to the conventional urban cars. The high seating and wider glass area offers the perfect all round view. The suspension, braking system and safety features are quite impressive. It will be priced around Rs.7-9 lakhs. Ford Fiesta is four-door sedan and hatchback will be available in three trim levels (S, SE & SEL) and two trim levels (SE & SES) respectively.

It comes powered by a 1.6 litre inline engine with standard five speed manual transmission that develops a peak power of 120hp and 112Nm of torque. The six speed automatic transmission is optional. This Ford car has been designed to bring amazing driving experience despite rough Indian roads and heavy traffic jams.
