Ford starts Ecosport SUV production

The new Ford Ecosport SUV has entered into production in Brazil. This means that the design and other factors have been all set and the SUV is now ready to be launched in other parts of the world as well. In India, the SUV will also be produced in house with high degree of localization. It will be closely doing an encounter of Premier Rio, recently arrived Renault Duster and the upcoming Maruti XA Alpha SUV. The price of Ford Ecosport SUV is also expected to be around Rs 8.5 lakh to Rs 9 lakh and at this price experts believe bumper sales and nothing else as Ford has established itself well in the SUV segment.

As per reports, the Camcari plant in Brazil is producing the new generation Ecosport since August 1. Notably, the Ecosport is the prime car for the American car maker in Brazil and it has sold it as the best SUV. The new Ford Ecosport is now in production at the plant and it is said that following more urban looks and the presence of the 1 L Ecoboost engine will be triggering mammoth sales for the car. In India, the car will be heading straight sometime in the coming months and will be targeting the compact SUV segment that is set afire by the Renault Duster and the Premier Rio 1.3 L multijet. Other upcoming entrant Maruti XA Alpha is expected to being a tough time to all these SUVs as being a Maruti car it is believed to be have the advantage of brand value and more than sufficient service and sales network.

Sources also said that the Ford car that is in production at Brazil is the first global product and soon the plant will be producing the new Ford Fiesta global car as well starting few months from now. The Ford Ecosport 1.6i Flex Freestyle was the one that has started production at the plant. The other trim produced is the Ford Ecosport S.
