If industry reports are to be believed then U.S based car maker Ford might globally unveil the facelift version of compact SUV EcoSport on November 14, 2016. According to reports recently the prototype of EcoSport was caught going under extensive test drives in South America.  In India the generation next Ford EcoSport is reported to make its entry sometimes during the middle of next year.

 

 

It is speculated that upgraded Ford EcoSport will sport newly developed head and tail lamps, new bumpers with newly designed alloy wheels, and a hexagonal grille on the exterior. Inside the cabin it will adorn features like refreshed central console, new Sync infotainment system will new color display. The dashboard is expected to the same as offered in its unit existing in Indian car market. However, going on the basis of test drive images received from China it is rumoured that on interior front facelift EcoSport will receive newly sculptured dashboard with unchanged steering wheel and instrument cluster. In European car market the facelift EcoSport will be offered with three engine options of 1.0 litre EcoBoost petrol engine followed by 1.5 litre Duratorq and 1.5 litre Duratec in diesel variant. In South American car market it will be offered with 1.5 litre 3 cylinder petrol engine. It is also said that this time EcoSport will also be offered with four wheel drive option on top end variants. As far as Indian spec of facelift EcoSport is concerned nothing has been so far disclosed by company, but in case if refreshed EcoSport in India receives 4WD option it will be first vehicle in its segment to be equipped with this feature. Recently the Ford EcoSport Signature Edition was launched in Indian car market by car maker during the festive season to entice buyers. Talking about the price tag with which the new EcoSport will be offered the subject is under suspense, but according to industry experts expect it to be offered with starting price of Rs. 6.50 lkah (ex-showroom price) for base variant.
