Ford Unveils Facelift EcoSport, India Launch in 2017

U.S. based car maker Ford has finally taken-off the covers from facelift EcoSport in Los Angeles. The facelift EcoSport undergoes candid changes on both exterior and interior portions making it compatible to existing compact SUV’s running in global market. It is reported that in U.S car market the facelift EcoSport will be christened as MY2018 but in Indian car market it will be considered as Ford EcoSport 2017.

The power train to be introduced in U.S. car market will comprise of two engine options 1.0 litre EcoBoost Turbocharged three-cylinder and 2.0 litre naturally aspirated four-cylinder in petrol variant. The transmission system will include six speed automatic transmission system as standard feature followed by four wheel drive option introduced on trim empowered with 2.0 ltire engine. In U.S car market the facelift EcoSport will go for sale from the beginning of 2018. On the exterior front the Ford EcoSport 2017 aka MY2018 will receive faux skid plates, newly developed headlamps, front grille, new bumper and fog lamps. At the interior front the facelift Ecosport will receive vast changes as compared to existing trim of Ford Ecosport. The notable changes that would be adhered inside the cabin of EcoSport will sport newly developed instrument panel, along with newly designed centre console and steering wheel. The images of EcoSport My2018 revealed in cyber world also reveal new switchgear, contemporary dashboard customized with body colored accents. Other interior features introduced in EcoSport 2017 will comprise of Ford SYNC 3 infotainment System with high resolution 8 inch floating touch screen, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto smartphone integration. Interestingly with an objective to offer the benefit of listening their favorite music to passengers the new EcoSport has been customized with high defined 675 watt, ten speaker sound system comprising of B&O Play tweeters and woofers integrated on the front doors and a sub-woofer at back.
