Generation next Ford EcoSport spied testing in U.S
According to industry reports spies have witnessed two units of 2017 Ford EcoSport being tested on US roads recently. The units of EcoSport spied were partially camouflaged revealing the clues that would be offered in refreshed version of this compact SUV. According to reports it is for second time that spies have caught generation next EcoSport being tested on roads, thus giving an indication of it’s soon launch in domestic car market. The facelift version of Ford EcoSport is reported to undergo various cosmetic changes followed by minute changes in design.
Before discussing the cosmetic changes that would be adorned in facelift EcoSport it would be better to know the changes that would be offered under bonnet. It is speculated that in its refreshed version EcoSport will continue the existing engine configuration of 1.5 litre engines in both petrol and diesel variants along with 1.0 litre EcoBoost engine. The transmission system will conclude six speed manual gear transmission system and also dual clutch transmission system. According to company sources the changes introduced in EcoSport are contemporary updates and actual facelift is still away.
Coming towards the cosmetic changes that are expected to be offered in Ford EcoSport 2017 nothing has been so far noticed by the spies because of partial covers applied on the vehicle. But going through the covers it can be said that the front fascia will carry almost the same look as offered in existing EcoSport. Moving towards the rear portion it was strictly camouflaged which means rear might receive some interesting cosmetic changes. The only change which was noticed on rear portion was placement of spare wheel mounted on bootlid. According to reports upgraded EcoSport would be offered with option spare wheel integrated on back door.
In India EcoSport is one of the best selling vehicles by US car maker but has now to face competition with recently launched Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza, Mahindra NuvoSport and TUV300.
