Generation Next Maruti Suzuki Ertiga Spied With Emission Testing Tool
Maruti Suzuki India Limited, country’s leading carmaker is readying to launch the generation next of its best selling MPV Ertiga, in the India car market, sometimes during the upcoming festive season. Apart, from the inclusion of contemporary features, the new Ertiga would be empowered with 1.5 litre diesel engine developed by the company within the country. Now, according to the recent reports, spies have caught the prototype of Ertiga being tested on the Indian roads along with emission testing tool, thus indicating before launching the MPV, the Indo-Japanese carmaker intends to get assured about the emission levels determined by the Ministry of Transportation, Government of India.
Moving ahead about the features captured by the spies, inside the cabin it will be equipped with multi-information display instrument cluster, which is the same as launched in generation next Ciaz recently. It is also rumoured that the new diesel engine that is in the line-up will be mated with SHVS mild hybrid technology, that is also offered in new Ciaz. It is also speculated that the carmaker might introduce the cross variant of Ertiga to compete against Honda BR-V.
Talking about another engine configuration, it will be existing 1.5 litre K15B petrol engine that will generate the power of 105 bhp and the torque of 138Nm. The transmission duties would be performed by five-speed manual and four-speed automatic transmission system. The variant with manual gear transmission system is endorsed to deliver an average of 21.56 kmpl while the automatic trim is reported to deliver an average of 20.28 kmpl.
