Generation Next Nissan Micra launched in India

Japanese car maker Nissan has launched the new Micra hatchback in Indian car market embellished with automatic transmission system and new color option of Sunshine Orange. The new color option of Sunshine orange is further enhanced with combination of black interior, which make the new Micra capable of grabbing the attention of commuters at first instance. The price of Micra with manual gear transmission system begins from Rs. 4.55 lakh   onwards, while the price of automatic transmission system begins from Rs. 5.99 lakh, both prices are ex-showroom prices in New Delhi.

The refreshed Nissan Micra continues to receive power from same engine configurations in both petrol and diesel variants. The petrol variant is equipped with 1.2 litre three cylinder engine boosting the power of 76 bhp, while the diesel variant sports 1.5 litre four cylinder engine generating the power of 63 bhp and mated with five speed manual gearbox. The automatic transmission system in petrol variant is reported to deliver an ARAI certified average of 19.3 kmpl while the diesel delivers an average of 23.08 kmpl.

According to the sources of company the idea behind introduction of sunshine orange color is inspired from growing interest of car enthusiasts, especially among the young motorists. However, besides orange color the buyers also have option of selecting from Blade Silver, Storm White, Brick Red, Nightshade, and Turquoise Blue. Moving inside the cabin you will find piano black centre console, black upholstery followed by contrast blue stitching, and black door trims. The Micra Active trim of hatchback has been upgraded with black seat fabric, black instrument cluster and silver garnished door armrest. Apart from launch of Micra hatchback ahead of festive season, the Japanese car maker also plans to launch the GT-R in Indian car market during the month of November this year which will be followed by hybrid version of X-Trail during the month of December 2016.
 
Addressing the launch of refreshed Micra, Mr. Arun Malhotra, Managing Director, Nissan Motor India said, "The affordable and accessible Micra offers a charming visual appeal with its new "Sunshine Orange" exterior colour complemented by the edgy, European-style all-black interior. These new options come without any price increase. We're confident this package will resonate with Indian customers."
