Honda reveals Honda Fit based mini crossover - Fit Twist
The Sao Paulo Motor Show in Brazil is becoming the launch pad of so many cars that could shape the future of mobility. Contributing its part, Honda has unveiled the crossover version of the MPV Honda Fit. The new Honda car has been name as the Honda Fit Twist as the car maker has given a twist to it to make it a crossover. This new crossover by Honda will be targeting the Brazilian market and it could make it to India as well if Honda is able to put a diesel heart under the bonnet. The Fit MPV has been synonymous with more than success and the new Fit based Crossover will be targeting the young entrepreneurs who wish to upgrade from hatchback or sedan to a more fitting car.
The Fit known as Honda Jazz in UK and being based on MPV, the Fit Twist has the genes of offering good amount of space inside and after the engineering done on it, it has imbibed the ruggedness and robustness of an SUV. Thus the car will be a mix of comfort drive and ruggedness to get it to any off-roading experience. The mini crossover retains the looks and exterior features of the Fit and suggests that it is some big looking SUV. As per sources information, the chassis of the Fit has been as it is used on this car as well and the car maker has not touched it. However, necessary changes to the suspension to tackle the extra strain of off-roading have been imbibed in it.
It is also revealed that this SUV will be restricted to the Brazilian market but the other markets such as India are budding markets for SUVs and Honda may not be able to desist from launching the Fit Twist in India as well.
