Honda to unveil CR-V Diesel in Australia, can introduce in India also
Japanese auto giant Honda Motors is soon going to introduce diesel variant of CR-V in Australian car market the upcoming variant will be introduced in 2.2 litre turbo diesel engine churning the power of 140 bhp and torque of 350 Nm. It will be a fuel efficient vehicle which deliver an average of 17 kmpl and will be equipped available in both manual and automatic transmission system of six speed and five speed respectively.
Apart from this the other additional features integrated in Diesel Honda CR-V includes Honda’s real time four wheel drive with intelligent control system to enhance vehicle’s grip on diverse road conditions. According to reports company might unveil the same variant in Indian car market also during the Indian Auto Expo 2014 but before that it would work on improving the fuel efficiency of vehicle according to Indian fuel. It has been examined that the diesel variant is not compatible to quality of Indian diesel and supports the diesel enriched with sulphur which enhances its performance and also suitable for environment. It is speculated that Honda has started working on this issue.
Commenting on the introduction of Honda CR-V Diesel variant in Australian car market Mr. Collins, said Honda CR-V has succeeded in retaining top class vehicle in its segment since its launch in December 2012 and company expects to enhance its sales with introduction of Diesel engine.
