Honda's sales drop by 38.43 percent in September
Honda Siel has issued a statement saying that the company sold 4,758 units in the month of September, which shows a fall of 38.43 percent, as compared to September 2010's sales. In September 2010, Honda Siel Cars India (HSCI) had sold 7,728 units.
The sales figure of 4,758 units in September this year, comprises of 596 units of Honda Jazz, 3,720 units of Honda City, 137 units of Honda Accord, 117 units of Honda Civic, 17 units of Honda CR-V and 171 units of Honda Brio. Honda Siel Cars India (HSCI) has recently launched its small car, Honda Brio, in the country, and the company expects great performance from this small car, in the country.
The Company had also cut prices of Honda City and Honda Jazz by Rs. 66,000 and Rs. 1,66,000 respectively. This was done to improve the falling sales figures of company's cars. This has helped Honda bring Honda City back to top the position in the mid-size sedan segment, and the hatchback Honda Jazz is getting better than ever sales figures across the country.
