Hyundai discontinues the production of Kappa 1.2 litre petrol engine
Launch of Hyundai Grand i10 from HMIL was evident of the fact that Korean auto giant will discontinue the production of 1.2 litre Kappa engine integrated in first generation of i10. According to authentic sources company has discontinued the production of all i10 variants including automatic variants. It is also reported that all Hyundai dealers have also stopped the booking of Hyundai i10 enriched Kappa 1.2 litre engine.
Reports from dealers also reveals that before completely discontinuing the production of Kappa 1.2 litre engine cars, company will sales out the existing stock of these cars. It indicates that during season company may offer huge discounts to the buyers of Hyundai i10 as this will meet their twin objective of emptying the existing stock at one side on the other side increase their sales.
Moreover now as Hyundai has also launched Grand i10 in European market it will not be beneficial for company to continue the production of i10 to huge extent. However when you compare the prices of top end variant of i10 Asta and Grand i10 there is hardly difference between both of them. As the result of this it can be expected that Hyundai might reduce the price of Grand i10, after it completely discontinues the production of Kappa 1.2 litre petrol engine variants.
