Hyundai i10 based compact sedan to dethrone Dzire, will rival Honda Amaze
Now that there are lot of rivals of the Maruti Swift in the form of Chevrolet Sail UVA, Chevrolet Beat, Hyundai i20 and others, this time car makers populate with Maruti Swift Dzire rivals. The lone compact sedan that has a sole rival Tata Indigo eCS is all set to have a lot of rivals. First it will be Honda Amaze (the Honda Brio based sedan) and now the industry is abuzz with reports that Hyundai is also coming up with a compact sedan based on Hyundai i10. It is believed this Swift Dzire rival will be doing the damage and it could be possible that it could devoid Swift Dzire of the best selling compact sedan title.
Whatever be the scenario, it is sure that the honeymoon phase of the compact sedan Swift Dzire is soon to be over. Very soon the Mahindra Verito CS is also coming and with its launch, this segment will see some great deal of commotion. Further, car offerings such as Amaze and i10 based sedan will do the necessary work to dethrone Swift Dzire. It is believed that the segment has great deal of scope just as the compact SUV segment has and every other car maker has this segment in purview while finalizing their future launches. With only two cars right now, the segment is expected to see over four new cars in the next two years.
Meanwhile, reports also suggest that new i10 will be based on entirely new platform and this model will be another fluidic avatar. It is this new platform that will enable the car maker to launch a sedan. As per initial information, the car will be launched in petrol and diesel options and it will be one of the cars that will be an instant hit in the market. Two factors will really help this Hyundai car gain popularity instantly. First is the trust and faith in the brand which is in some respect more than Maruti and secondly, the car will be highly affordable and will return some of the best mileage in the segment.
