Hyundai i10 Diesel launch soon, Hyundai UV also coming
As per the various media reports, Hyundai India plans to launch the Hyundai i10 diesel and one more Hyundai UV in India. It is believed that if the i10 Diesel becomes a reality then India could get its under four lakh rupees diesel car. Also this will help the car maker get mammoth numbers on the sales chart as India is eagerly awaiting for a low priced diesel car. The striking revelation came during the Hyundai Elantra launch yesterday and it seems that Hyundai car maker is all set to enter the Rs 8 lakh to Rs 10 lakh UV segment that is getting hot and hotter with the first offering in the form of Renault Duster. The reports of the launch of i10 Diesel and another SUV are though not new and it was quite certain that a launch of these two cars happen in 2012.

It is said that the Hyundai i10 Diesel will have a smaller diesel engine under the hood. Since the 1.1 L diesel motor is already available in Europe it seems to be quite easy for the car maker to bring in the Diesel car in India. The prospects of the i10 Diesel are wide as the diesel cars in India are in high demand while the petrol cars market has shrunken considerably. Even Hyundai has witnessed lower sales following the Rs 7.5 per litre price rise on petrol and that time, the sale of i10, Hyundai Eon and Hyundai Santro car were deeply affected. Meanwhile, the sales of Hyundai i20 Diesel increased notably as it is the entry level diesel car by Hyundai. If the i10 Diesel replaces the entry level Hyundai Diesel car then experts in the field believe that it will be taking the market by storm and the car sales will be unprecedented.

The new Hyundai utility vehicle is in the making and it is under development keeping in mind the developing nations. Hopefully, the Hyundai UV will be competing with Maruti Ertiga if it shuns the sports characters and the Duster or the upcoming Ford Ecosport if it retains it.
