Hyundai Grand i10: The perfect match of i10 and i20 from Hyundai Motors
With an objective of grabbing the top position in section of compact cars existing in Indian car market, the second biggest car manufacturer company of India, Hyundai Motor India, has decided to launch Hyundai Grand i10, in Indian market during the first week of September 2013. It is reported that the new infant from Hyundai Motor India will be launched in both petrol and diesel variants. The price of petrol variant will fall between the price range of Rs. 5 lakh and 7.2 lakhs, whereas price of diesel variant will be between 5.5 lakhs to 7.5 lakhs. According to experts of auto industry the new Hyundai Grand i10 will be a mix of Hyundai's existing i10 and i20 variants. With launch of Grand i10, Hyundai speculates to cut off the dominance of Maruti Suzuki Swift, from its strong contender Maruti Suzuki India Ltd.
Moving towards the architecture of new Hyundai Grand i10, it is almost completely different from existing i10 variant. According to photos displayed the car adorns Fluidic design that is being introduced by company in its upcoming variants. As far as headlights are concerned they are similar to other cars in hatchback segment introduced by Hyundai Motors, however the tail lights give it a spicy look. Besides this dual tone alloy wheels play an interesting role in enhancing its looks. The worth mentioning feature about new Hyundai Grand i10 are its legroom and headroom that are designed to provide comfort seating experience to passengers. Other additional features adorned in Grand i10 are steering mounted controls, connectivity with Bluetooth, push start/stop button etc.
According to sources of company the Grand i10, will be mounted with 1.1 litre engine, that makes it one of the cheapest diesel car in Indian market being introduced by Hyundai. In the words of Mr. Rakesh Srivastava, Senior Vice President, Sales, Hyundai Motor India, the concept of this new variants is totally different from other variants of Hyundai running on Indian roads. The newly introduced U2 diesel engine is designed to deliver the best results to car owners.
