Hyundai Elite i20 automatic launching during festive season
According to recent reports Korean car maker Hyundai Motors is going to launch the automatic variant is one of its best selling hatchbacks Elite i20 during the upcoming festive season. From this attempt by car maker it is speculated that it will succeed in luring the buyers once again towards this one time Indian Car of the Year award.
The automatic version will be empowered with same 1.2 litre VTVT petrol engine which continues in existing version of hatchback followed by four speed automatic gear box. However, it is also speculated that company might outsource six speed automatic transmission system from its first ever company SUV Hyundai Creta for improved fuel efficiency.
Once launched in Indian car market the automatic Hyundai Elite i20 will compete against Maruti Suzuki Baleno, Honda Jazz and Volkswagen Polo, from which first two are offered with CVT transmission system and the later with 7- speed DSG transmission system.
