Hyundai Elite i20 crosses the mark of 12,000 bookings in fortnight

Hyundai Elite i20, the recent initiative of Korean car maker has crossed the mark of 12,000 bookings within the short span of fifteen after its launch on August 11, 2014. Alike its elder siblings i10, i20 and Grand i10, the Elite i20 also succeeded in receiving warm welcome from car enthusiasts in Indian car market and will take the success enjoyed by its sibling to new heights. The worth mentioning feature of Elite i20 is its Fluidic Sculpture 2.0 design which makes it look differently from its predecessors.
 
In the words of Mr. Rakesh Srivastava, Senior, Vice President (Sales and Marketing) said, this year company has targeted the sales of 4.10 lakh unit as against 3.8 lakh units sold last year. He also added that going through the favorable conditions taking place during last three months in auto industry company’s hopes to reach the expected target. The Elite i20 has been launched in both petrol and diesel variants of 1.2 litre Kappa Dual VTVT and 1.4L U2 CRDi diesen engine respectively. The petrol variant is mated with five speed manual gearbox whereas the diesel variant is coated with six speed manual gearbox.
 
Apart from being enriched with new looks at  both exteriors and interiors along with remarkable features the new Elite i20 is also blessed with safety measures including ABS+EBD, reverse parking camera and four passenger airbags. It is expected to receive tough competition from recently launched Fiat Punto Evo and new hatchbacks from MSIL and domestic car marker Tata Motors.
