Hyundai Elite i20 pre-launch bookings cross the mark of 4600 units
Hyundai Elite i20 from HMIL the Indian arm of Korean car maker launched couple of days ago has made car enthusiasts crazy towards it due to its stylish looks and competitive price tag. The hatchback was launched in Indian car market on August 11, 2014 and prior to this company had started the booking of hatchback from August 1, 2014. According to company sources within the span of 12 days it has so far booked 4600 out of which 2600 units were for petrol variant and remaining 2000 variants were for diesel variant.
The car maker plans to sale 6000 units of Elite i20 every month comprising of both variants sold equally. Going through the number of bookings it is speculated that Indian alliance of Korean car maker will succeed in achieving its objective. Moreover going to through the sales performance of first generation i20 which are sold between 3500 to 4000 units per month this, the objective of 6000 units do not seems to be difficult for the company.
With launch of Eliti i20 Korean car maker has already created an excitement in Indian car industry, although this time it will have to face tough competition from its contenders especially from new Jazz by Japanese car maker Honda Motors and Polo from German car maker Volkswagen. Apart from this Suzuki is also going to launch the facelift version of its hatchback swift soon in Indian car market. Therefore going through the existing market scenario and upcoming market situations it can be assumed that the hatchback segment will undoubtedly witness hot temperature during this winter.
