Hyundai Eon bookings start from October 1st
Hyundai Motors; the car maker from South Korea on Friday proclaimed the start of bookings for one of the most anticipated small car in the history of Indian automotive sector; Hyundai Eon. The new Hyundai Eon bookings are scheduled to begin from 1st of October 2011 i.e. Saturday.
An indefinitely long period of time - that’s the meaning of name ‘Eon’. India will be the manufacturing hub for the compact car, same as in case of earlier Santro, i10 and i20. The production unit for Eon is based at Sriperubudur near Chennai.

Termed as a certain threat for nation’s largest selling vehicle-Maruti Suzuki Alto; the car will be retailed at INR 2, 50, 000 (Ex Showroom Delhi). Available with a choice of manual as well as automatic transmission the eternal Eon will wear an 800 cc engine. As per reports, the South Korean automobile maker will be counting on sales volumes of its Eon, reason being the slight slowdown in the sales of earlier hits; Hyundai Santro and Hyundai i10.
The small car aimed at younger and first time car buyers who wish to upgrade from their two-wheeler and are focusing on a car to be stylish and fuel efficient. Keeping in mind the same, Eon is developed to favor Indian circumstances along with that Hyundai continues to sport its unique design philosophy of ‘Fluidic Sculpture’.
A new gold standard will be setup in the country’s auto market with the launch of Eon, as stated by Mr. Park CEO & MD at Hyundai Motors India Limited. And he seemed to be certain about the car that will endow quality, stand-out technology and best in class styling.
