Hyundai Eon: Engine to be boosted
South Korean car maker Hyundai Motors is going to enhance the power of its entry level hatchback Eon with 1.0 litre petrol engine. It is rumored that Korean company is going to bring major change in Eon by integrating 1.0 litre petrol engine which is similar to one as offered in its sibling Hyundai i10 churning the power of 65bhp and torque of 95 Nm. It is speculated that integration of new engine will enhance the fuel performance of the hatchback. At present Eon is energized with 0.8 litre, three cylinder engine churning the power of 55bhp and torque of 75 Nm.

As far as other changes apart from engine configuration are concerned it is speculated that company may offer minor tweets at the front fascia which will further enhance its looks. The main objective of introducing new engine configuration in Eon is due to tough competition it is receiving from Maruti Alto K10 and recently launched Datsun Go hatchback. Both Maruti Alto K10 and Datsun Go are empowered with 1.0 litre petrol engine and 1.2 litre petrol engine respectively.
It is speculated that after this major changes the new Eon will be in position to stay strongly in front of its tough contenders.
