Hyundai Eon sells 10,000 plus units in February 2012

Hyundai Eon, the entry level hatchback for the South Korean auto-grand in India, Hyundai Motors has come up with flying colors in the month of February with its sales statics over 10,000 units. This two-box secured a total of 10.480 unit sales, last month that is the highest sales record for this small car in a single month. Earlier, in January this year, the company launched the Bluedrive LPG variant of this car in order to achieve a decent sales growth in the domestic auto-market.

With the shining sales results in the February month, the Eon has become the top selling car this year from the Hyundai’s portfolio. Prior the Eon was launched last year; Hyundai did sincere efforts to expand its dealership network to sell their entry level cars like Eon and Xing on the semi-urban and rural shores.

All the three entry level cars (the Eon, the Santro Xing and the i10) from the automaker, Hyundai are now blessed with LPG variant options. With the consistent hike in the petrol prices, these LPG-petrol dual fuel hatchbacks can come up as the peak sellers for the company, enabling them to give a competitive edge against, Maruti Suzuki, the largest car maker in India that do not have dual fuel LPG/Petrol options in their entry level cars i.e. the Alto, the Alto K10, the A-Star and the Estilo.
