Hyundai Eon: To be enhanced with powerful 1.0 litre engine
It is reported that Korean car maker Hyundai Motors has enhanced its hatchback Eon with new 1.0 litre engine, which erstwhile was offered with 0.8 litre engine configuration developing the power of 56 bhp and torque of 74 Nm. Industry enthusiasts believe that this new engine configuration would same as offered in Hyundai’s i10 version existing in European car market. The newly introduced engine will generate the power of 65 bhp and torque of 95 Nm.

Here it would be important to mention here that only this new engine configuration will be offered only in Magna variant of Eon which is blessed with various luxurious features including power steering, engine immobilizer, front power windows, keyless entry and air conditioner. It is reported that company has started the bookings of Hyundai Eon, Magna version equipped with 1.0 litre engine.
After launch it will compete against existing hatchbacks mainly with Alto K10 and recently launched Datsun Go hatchback which are energized with 1.0 litre and 1.2 litre engine configuration respectively. The new Hyndai Eon Magna will be offered with price tag of Rs. 3.85 lakh (ex-showroom price in Mumbai) and will be roll out for deliveries hopefully from coming month.
