Hyundai Grand i10 spied testing on Indian roads
Hyundai Grand i10 sedan, the highly anticipated sedan from Korean car manufacturer has been in rumors since the launch of Grand i10 hatchback which succeeded in setting new benchmark for upcoming hatchbacks in Indian car market. The grand success of Grand i10 has created anxiety among Indian audiences. Now it is reported that Hyundai Grand i10 sedan has been spotted testing on Chennai-Vellore highway.
The architecture of Hyundai Grand i10 is mainly based on Grand i10 hatchback as it carries the same roofline as adorned in hatchback i10. Apart from this it is also expected that there will lot of similarities between i10 hatchback and i10 sedan. Like i10 hatchback sedan i10 sedan is expected to be equipped with 1.2 litre kappa engine producing power of 81 bhp and torque of 114 Nm, whereas the diesel variant is expected to be empowered with 1.4 litre engine churning the power of 89 bhp and torque of 219 Nm.
Moving ahead it is also speculated that the petrol variant of i10 sedan will be released with five speed manual transmission system followed by four speed automatic transmission system, on the other hand diesel variant will be equipped with six speed manual transmission system. It is expected that Hyundai will launch i10 sedan during the first quarter of next year and will be tough contender to Dzire from MSIL, Amaze from Honda, and Indigo eCS from Tata Motors.
