Hyundai to launch Xcent soon in Indian car market
Inspired from the huge success enjoyed by Hyundai Grand i10 hatcback in Indian car market, Korean car maker announced to launch the same car in sedan segment based on same platform. As an impact of this company unveiled the Grand i10 sedan aka Xcent during the Indian Auto Expo 2014 held last month. After launch Hyundai Xcent will compete against Honda Amaze and Maruti Swift Dzire, especially with Honda Amaze which at present rules the segment.

As the sedan Xcent is designed on same platform it will carry most of the features offered in Grand i10. The upcoming sedan will be offered in both petrol and diesel guises continuing the same engine integration as offered in Grand i10. The petrol version will be bestowed with 1.2 litre engine churning the power of 82bhp and torque of 114 Nm, while the diesel version will generate the power of 70 bhp and torque of 160 Nm. Apart from this both engines will be mated with five speed manual transmission system followed by option of 4 speed automatic transmission system in petrol version.
Talking about the other changes offered in the exteriors and interiors the sedan Xcent carries the same looks as available in Grand i10. But still most of the features offered in Xcent namely smart key with push button start, 2DIN audio with USB, CD Player with 1GB internal memory, one touch electric trunk, electro chromic mirrors etc are best in the segment.
