Hyundai’s jewels for Indian Auto Expo 2014 revealed
After enjoying the taste of huge success by launching Grand i10 hatchback in Indian car market couple of months back, the second largest car manufacturer of country Hyundai Motors India Limited is all set of continue the trend with its upcoming vehicles. The first step to meet this objective will be unveiling of two new models during Indian Auto Expo 2014. The first one will be sedan named as Hyundai Grand i10 which is developed on the platform of Hyundai Grand i10 hatchback and the other one will be facelift version Hyundai Santa-Fe which is rejuvenated keeping the requirements of generation next in concern.
Talking about Grand i10 sedan it will be bestowed with same engine configurations as adorned in Grand i10 hatcbhack, i.e., 1.2 litre petrol engine and 1.1 diesel engine. Apart from this as mentioned it will carry the features of its elder sibling Grand i10 hatchback. As far as its price is concerned nothing has been so far revealed by company but it is speculated to be priced at competitive price so as to compete with existing sedan especially Maruti Swift Dzire and Amaze from Honda, which was launched this year in April.
The other car which will be showcased by Indian arm of Korean car manufacturer will be facelift Santa Fe which is promoted as car of generation next. Mechanically new Santa-Fe will continue same engine 2.2 litre VGT diesel engine configuration. Dimensionally it is 40 mm longer, 5mm wider and carries the same 2,700 mm wheelbase.
