India Bound Hyundai Creta 2020 Launched In China

With Korean car maker Hyundai Motors readying to launch the generation next of compact SUV Creta during the Indian Auto Expo 2020, but ahead of this, the company has launched the SUV in Chinese car market with the starting price of 109,800 Yuan (INR 11.11 lakhs) for the base variant. In China only the Creta will be launched only in the petrol variant. According to media reports the India version of Creta will be similar to Hyundai ix25 launched in the Chinese market.
 
Mechanically, the Indian Creta will be offered in both petrol and diesel variants, outsourced from the Kia Seltos. The petrol variant will be empowered with 1.5 litre, 4 cylinder naturally aspirate engine generating the power of 115 bhp and the torque of 144Nm, whereas the other petrol engine will be energized with 1.4 litre, 4 cylinder turbocharged petrol engine that will boost the power of 140 bhp and the torque of 242Nm. On the other side the diesel engine will be equipped with 1.5 litre, 4 cylinder turbocharged diesel engine that will generate the power of 115 bhp and the torque of 250Nm. Both the engines will be BS VI compliant. The transmission duties will be performed with an option of 6 MT, 6 AT, 7DCT and 7CVT.

Dimensionally, the Hyundai Creta 2020 measures the length of 4,300 mm, width of 1,790mm, height of 1,622 mm and wheelbase of 2,610mm. With new changes the Creta will be now 30mm longer, 8mm shorter, and 10mm wider. On the exterior front it will receive the new front grille, sharkfin antenna, 17 inch alloy wheels, split LED headlamps and a panoramic sunroof.
 
Inside the cabin it will be offered with dual tone color treatment of black and beige combination. Other features offered inside the cabin include compact steering wheel, large central display, centrally placed MID, dual segment screen fully digital instrument cluster and horizontal air vents. The touchscreen is equipped with Hyundai BlueLink and supports the voice commands.
