India made Ford Ecosport goes to South Africa
Made in India Ford Ecosport will be offered to the South African customers, it has been confirmed. Ford India which is producing the Ecosport SUV at its Chennai based facility will supply this global compact SUV to the Ford Motor Company of Southern Africa (FMCSA). FMCSA is showcasing the much anticipated vehicles Ecosport SUV at the Grain SA’s NAMPO Harvest Day Show that will be staged at the NAMPO Park in the Free State between 14 to 17 May. And by the end of year this popular vehicle will officially be launched in that market.

The launch of Ford Ecosport SUV has already been triggered in Brazilian and Chinese auto markets and now the next destination for the vehicle is Indian auto market. Features, specs and variant details for India launching Ecosport have already been leaked out and the beast will be offered in three engine choices like 1.5L petrol, 1.5L diesel and 1.0L EcoBoost petrol. With an expected price tag of Rs 7 lakh the beast is reported to be launched into the country by next month.

The diesel model of the Ecosport SUV has specially been made for Indian auto market while the customers of other nations will be getting it with only petrol engines like 1.5L petrol and 1L EcoBoost petrol. At present, including SA, India made Ford cars (Ford Figo and Fiesta) are being exported to more than 50 countries across the world.
