Jeep India Initiates The Bookings Of Made-in India Wrangler

Jeep India, the Indian alliance of US-based carmaker Jeep has initiated the bookings of its upcoming SUV Wrangler in the Indian car market. The company will announce the price of the SUV on March 15, 2021. The 2021 Jeep Wrangler in India would be brought through a completely-knocked-down route (CKD) and assembled at the company’s production unit located in Ranjangaon near Pune in Maharashtra. It is speculated that as the SUV will be built in India it will be priced much lesser than its outgoing version, which is priced at Rs. 68.94 lakh (ex-showroom).

Under the hood, the Jeep Wrangler 2021 will be empowered with a 2.0-litre, 4-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine and generates the power of 268 bhp and the torque of 400Nm at 5250 rpm and 3000 rpm respectively. The transmission duties will be performed by the new eight-speed automatic transmission system. It will be offered with a new Select-Trac full-time 4WD system.
 
Recently the spies have captured the images of upcoming SUV being tested on the Indian roads briefing the features offered on the exterior and interior portions. According to the images captured by the spies inside the cabin, it will come with a new dashboard with an integrated UConnect 4C 8.4-inch touchscreen infotainment system that supports connectivity with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto and integrates the navigation system.
 
The other notable features offered inside the cabin will be a dual-zone automatic climate control system, passive keyless entry system, push-button start, passive keyless entry, and premium leather upholstery with contrasting white stitching. It will also be equipped with electrically activated differential locks and central console integrated controls.
