Jeep India Ready To Launch Locally Assembled Wrangler On March 17, 2021
The locally assembled SUV Wrangler by the US-based carmaker Jeep Motors which was slated for launch on March 15, 2021, will now be launched in India on March 17, 2021. Commenting on the reason for delaying its launch, the sources of Jeep India, said, “Due to some organisational priorities, the price launch of the locally assembled Jeep Wrangler has been postponed to Wednesday, 11:30 am, 17th March 2021. Sincere apologies for any inconvenience caused. We hope to see you at the rescheduled virtual price unveil.”

The new Jeep Wrangler will be assembled at the FCA’s Ranjangaon production unit near Pune in Maharashtra. It is believed that as the SUV would be brought through completely-knocked-down (CKD) it will be priced lesser than its completely built-in (CBU) unit. The Indian car enthusiasts willing to buy the Jeep Wrangler 2021 can book the SUV through authorised dealerships or visiting the company’s website.
Under the hood the new Jeep Wrangler will receive the power from a 2.0-litre, 4 cylinder turbocharged petrol engine boosting the power of 268 bhp @5,250 rpm and the torque of 400 Nm at 3,000 rpm. The transmission duties will be performed by a new eight-speed automatic transmission system. It will be equipped with a new Selec-Trace full-time 4WD drive system.
Inside the cabin, it will be updated with a new dashboard and a central console. Other features will include a push-button start, premium leather upholstery, dual-zone climate control, passive keyless entry, an 8.4-inch touchscreen infotainment system that supports connectivity with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. It will also be equipped with UConnect 4C NAV connected vehicle technology.
