Jeep Launches BS-VI Compliant 2020 Compass 4X4 Diesel Automatic
FCA India the alliance of US carmaker Jeep has launched the 2020 Jeep Compass in the Indian car market in two variants Longitude AT and Limited Plus AT, priced Rs. 21.96 lakh and Rs. 24.99 lakh (ex-showroom price, India). Under hood the 2020 Jeep Compass receives power from BS-VI compliant 2.0 litre MultiJet II diesel engine and mated with automatic transmission system. It is offered with 4x4 driving facility. The Multijet II engine introduced in the Jeep Compass 2020 is same as introduced in Jeep Compass Trailhawk, that was launched last year.
Speaking about the features offered in diesel Jeep Compass 2020, the Longitude 4x4 variant is equipped with the features like 7-inch UConnect screen with reverse camera and dynamic guideline functionality, passive entry to the vehicle and push button start, dual tone interiors and dual-zone air conditioner system. On the exterior front it receives 17 inch alloy wheels followed by the integration of ESC, ABS+EBD, hill start assist, electronic parking brake, disc brakes on all four wheels and frequency damped suspension system. Other variant, Limited Plus 4x4 AT is embellished with 8.4 inch UConnect Infotainment screen, 8 ways powered driver seat, rain sensitive wipers, plush leather interiors, dual tone panoramic sun/moon roof, auto dimming IRVM, six airbags, 18 inch alloy wheels and many more.
Addressing the launch of 4x4 Jeep Compass 2020 diesel automatic, Mr. Partha Dutta, President and Managing Director, FCA India said, "We are strengthening and expanding the Jeep Compass range with the introduction of four diesel automatic variants, of which, the base and top-end variant will available to consumers right away. Both variants offer more equipment, boosting the value-for-money proposition for the customer which we believe will increase our share in the segment. This roll-out has also given us the opportunity to offer our locally-made BSVI-compliant 2.0-litre turbo-diesel powertrain to consumers much before the statutory deadline."
