Jeep Launches Compass Trailhawk With The Price Tag Of Rs. 26.8 Lakh

Finally the Amercian car maker Jeep has launched the aggressive version of its compact Compass christened as Trailhawk in the Indian car market with the price tag of Rs. 26.8 lakh (ex-showroom). The Trailhawk would be sold only in one variant. Inspired from its elder sibling Compass, the Trailhawk is equipped with some remarkable features that will impress the motorists expecting extra-ordinary performance from their vehicle. Moving ahead with revamped design and minimum front and rear ends, the Trailhawk is the best vehicle to meet the driving requirements of rough roads. The Compass Trailhawk is believed to further strengthen the roots of FCA group in India, the seeds of which were sown by the launch of the compact SUV Compass.

Mechanically, the Trailhawk continues to be empowered by the same 2.0 litre Multijet II diesel engine which is similar to one offered in its elder sibling. The only difference is that the engine installed in Trailhawk is BSVI compliant and generates the power of 168 bhp and the torque of 350Nm, with the transmission duties performed by nine speed automatic gearbox. Now, as the Trailhawk is advanced version Compass it is embellished with lockable 4WD system that forwards the required power to the engine according to the driving conditions. Along with this it is also equipped with 4WD Low setting and Rock mode options depending upon the condition of the terrain. 
 
Talking about the features that are offered on the Trailhawk, besides the Trail logo on the fender consists of new bumpers at front and rear ends, black anti glare decals on the bonnet, seventeen inch dual-tone alloy wheels, Falken tyres to suit all types of terrains. The only notable change that is introduced in the Indian version of Trailhawk is the absence of tow hook up front that is offered in the global version.

Inside the cabin it receives engine start-stop, Hill Descent Control system, 8.4 inch infotainment system with Apple CarPlay, cruise control, built in navigation and few more contemporary features.
