Mahindra records highest ever monthly sales

It looks like it is going to be a very happy and prosperous Diwali for Mahindra and Mahindra as the sales of October 2012 have gone up for the company. The fresh reports suggest that the company sales last month have been increased by 28.74% comprising of 53438 units. This is the highest figure for the firm in a month toll now. Impressive isn’t it? If we compare the sales to October 2011, the company sold about 41506 units at that time.

Coming back to the current situation, the firm managed to take up the domestic sales to 51,316 units last month against the sale of 39353 units in the same period last year, which turns out to be 30.4% up. The passenger vehicle segment for M&M, which comprise of SUVs, MUVs and the sedan Mahindra Verito, came up with a sales hike of 43.59%, which is remarkable for the company for sure.

But on the downside, the exports for Mahindra and Mahindra have gone down from 2154 to 2122 units last year. The company is happy for the increase in domestic sales, but the downfall in exports have certainly turn out to be an unexpected thing for the firm. On the other hand, Mahindra and Mahindra is not the only firm, which has seen the hike in the October sales. India’s largest car maker, Maruti Suzuki also saw some major hike in its October sales, which is actually way to high than that of Mahindra and Mahindra.

But now, the M&M is preparing to further increase its sales. Its festive season and consumers are flooding in and purchasing news cars this season. Mahindra’s XUV 500, Mahindra Scorpio, Mahindra Xylo and newly launched Mahindra Quanto comprise of its best sellers, which help the firm in fetching high revenue.
