Mahindra XUV 500 caught again under lenses on Chennai Roads
It is reported that once again spies have witnessed the facelift version of its SUV XUV 500 being tested on roads near Chennai, although the test version was under covers but still spies succeeded in witnessing some changes that would be incorporated in the facelift version. Under the hood XUV 500, 2015 will continue with existing engine configuration of 2.2 litre, four cylinder turbocharged diesel engine boosting power of 140 bhp. This time it is expected that domestic car maker may offer the petrol trim of this SUV with automatic transmission system. However the diesel version would continue with same existing six speed gearbox.
Talking about the cosmetic changes that would be adhered in updated XUV 500 it would embellish newly develop front bumper followed by tweaked bonnet. The side profile will bestow new type of alloy wheels, chrome garnish on door handles. On the rear portion it will continue with same tail lamps, but with new LED Stop lights. It is also speculated that rear might get grill above the registration plate.Inside the cabin it will be blessed with high quality velvet work and some other interesting features borrowed from facelift Scorpio.
