Mahindra XUV 500 petrol variant in the pipeline

Mahindra and Mahindra launched Mahindra XUV 500 in a single engine option, which was diesel. The car went on becoming a major success in the Indian car bazaar. Now, the firm is planning to develop the SUV with petrol engine option. This means you are soon going to see XUV 500 in a petrol avatar. The Mahindra XUV 500 petrol will be exported to international market only, which means it might not hit the Indian roads.

By developing and exporting the petrol variant of Mahindra XUV 500 SUV, Mahindra and Mahindra is thinking to tap a massive consumer base in the global car market and fetch in a lot of profit. However, there is no official news about the technical specifications of the petrol XUV 500. But according to the fresh reports, the car will be fitted with a strong 2.2 litre of turbo charged engine that would churn out good power and corresponding torque. The features and exteriors will be similar to the ongoing model of the car. The officials of Mahindra and Mahindra cleared the air and told the media that the petrol variant will not be launched in the Indian car bazaar for now, but in future, if the need arises, it will be rolled out.

However, on the other hand, the launch of petrol variant will be done only in case the diesel SUV becomes unaffordable and extremely costly. The diesel powered XUV500 has done very well in the country and made all SUV lovers fall in love with XUV500. The strong engine, sporty and athletic looks, superbly done interiors with high class technologically advanced comfort features and superior mileage has made it a true victory for Mahindra in India. The price tag attached to it is not very high, but seeing the technology and features here, the company has priced the car pretty correctly.
