Domestic car maker Mahindra & Mahindra has upgraded its bestselling compact SUV XUV 500 with contemporary features that are speculated to push the diminishing sales of the vehicle to huge extent. The new features that are adorned in refreshed XUV 500 have been introduced in W6 variant onwards and priced Rs. 13.8 lakh (ex-showroom Navi Mumbai).

 

 

The fleet of newly introduced features includes Android Auto, Ecosense and Emergency Call and Connected Apps. The Connected Apps is a new feature introduced in any vehicle that facilitates the owners to access all commonly used applications directly from infotainment system, even when those applications are not installed in their mobile phones. The integration of Ecosense technology helps in recording the consumption percentage of fuel driving and scores the fuel efficiency skills of driver. Moving ahead the Emergency call facilitates the driver to make the emergency call during an unfortunate circumstance. An interesting feature of this application is that it automatically makes a call to emergency services and also sends a text message alert to two pre-determined numbers through coupled phones. The Android Auto feature facilitates easy access to calls, navigation, messaging, Google search by connecting the android phone of driver with the infotainment system.
