The barely credible bookings this time with more intensity than earlier, as previously the company secured bookings of 8000 XUVs in seven days, as this time a figure of 5900 is achieved in barely two days of the bookings. All these facts speak about the immense authority that Mahindra holds on the Utility Vehicle segment of the country. Be it its earlier enthralling products such as Mahindra Scorpio or old horse Mahindra Bolero, the utility king knows ‘formula’ that excites Indian SUV buyer.

Mahindra has increased the production capacity at its Chakan based plant in Pune to cater the requirement locally. Sighting the massive domestic demand for the vehicle in the country, the company has currently shelved its export plans.
With its class-leading features the Mahindra XUV 500 provides major threat to premium SUVs like Toyota Fortuner and Ford Endeavour apart from India bound SUVs like Force One and to be launched Tata Safari Storme.
