Mahindra XUV 500 wins SUV class of INRC and Star of Nasik title
Mahindra XUV 500, the first global premium SUV (Sports Utility Vehicle) by domestic firm, Mahindra & Mahindra has won the 'Star of Nasik' title at the Rally of Maharashtra 2013, round 2 of INRC (Indian National Rally Championship). The most powerful and premium SUV by the India auto giant, has also grabbed the top positions in the INSUVRC (Indian National SUV Rally Championship) class of the South India Rally.

It is second time in a row when the Team Mahindra Adventure won the ‘Rally of Maharashtra’, round - 2 of the Indian National Rally Championship (INRC). During the Adventure rally the XUV 500 is showing fastest performance among all categories' SUV such as powerful petrol engine cars and the beast is getting victories one by one. To promote the off-roading, the Mahindra Adventure team also recently launched the Mahindra Adventure Off- Road Training Academy.

Mahindra XUV 500 is one of the popular premium SUV cars in India. It is being offered in three variants like W6, W8 and W8 4x4 which are priced between Rs 12.09 lakh to Rs 14.68 lakh (Ex-showroom Delhi). All the variants of the vehicle are loaded with 2.2L mHawk diesel engine that generates max power of 140 bhp and peak torque of 330 NM. And now, by near future, M&M is expected to launch the petrol engine model of the off-roader.
