Mahindra XUV500 Automatic launched in India, priced at Rs. 15.53 lakh
Domestic car maker Mahindra & Mahindra has launched the Automatic version of its popular SUV XUV500 in Indian Car Market today with a price tag of Rs. 15.53 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi), however the XUV500 automatic variant will be available across Mahindra Dealerships from December 5, 2015 onwards and will be available in three variants to be specific W8, W10 and W10 (AWD), which will be going up against likes of Hyundai Creta.
Mechanically, the SUV is powered by 2.2-liter mHawk diesel powertrain boosting the power of 140 bhp and peak torque of 330 Nm, which is same as the current model. Only changes that can be seen in XUV500 that it is paired with a new 6-speed automatic gearbox, developed by AISIN, Japan, which will enhance the driving experience to the next level with easy cruising on city roads as well as on challenging terrains.
Speaking at the launch of the XUV500 all new Automatic variant Pravin Shah, President & Chief Executive (Automotive), M&M Ltd. stated, "The XUV500 broke new ground for Mahindra when it was first launched in 2011 and with the launch of the New Age XUV500 earlier this year we have emerged as a strong player in the premium SUV segment. The XUV500 already has many technology firsts to its credit and now we have further pushed the boundaries with the introduction of the XUV500 Automatic. 2. Mahindra XUV500 W10 FWD - Rs. 16.36 lakh
3. Mahindra XUV500 W10 AWD - Rs. 17.36 lakh
