Maruti Ciaz spied testing on Gurgaon Roads
Maruti Suzuki Ciaz, the upcoming sedan in C-Segment from nation’s leading car making company MSIL has be seen going under test drive on Gurgaon roads. Codenamed as YL1 the C-segment sedan was showcased during the recently concluded Indian Auto Expo 2014 and is expected to be soon make its debut in Indian car market sometimes by the mid of this year. The upcoming sedan is promoted as replacement of Maruti’s another C-segment sedan SX4. The spies have succeeded in catching huge photos of exteriors and interiors. It is reported that the sedan carries most of its features from Suzuki’s Authentics concept which was showcased during Shanghai Motor Show 2013.
It is expected that sedan will carry the same 1.6 litre petrol engine as offered in SX4 however churning more power of 100 bhp and torque of 165 Nm, with this it is also expected that MSIL will carry 1.6 litre Multijet diesel engine from Fiat. Both the variants are speculated to be blessed with five speed manual transmission system with petrol version be also offered with AMT version.
According to reports revealed by spies the front fascia receives dynamic looks followed by trapezoidal grille. Moving towards the interiors it is anticipated that interiors will be featured with various interesting features like high defined infotainment system supporting connectivity with Bluetooth, climate control, cooled glove box, steering mounted audio controls, and also ABS+EBD. After launch Maruti Ciaz will compete against existing sedans in C-segment namely newly recently launched Honda City, Renault Scala, Ford Fiesta, Nissan Sunny and Volkswagen Vento. It is expected to be offered in price range of Rs. 7.2 lakh to Rs. 10.5 lakh.
