Maruti Ertiga automatic variant in the making, launch soon

In order to add new chapters to its fame, Maruti Ertiga is soon to have the automatic transmission variant. This is expected to add to the charm for the MPV in India and as per the experts, it will make it stand apart from other MPVs in India which are all available in manual transmission models only. Meanwhile, the automatic version of the Ertiga will cash on the growing popularity of automatic cars in India. The Ertiga automatic launch could be near Diwali and its price could be at least Rs 50,000 more than the manual transmission based variants.

Not only in India but also in Indonesia as well, the MPV Ertiga has done considerably good. There it has taken a straight fight with the likes of Nissan, Honda and Toyota cars. Following the high demand of the car in there as well as in India, the car maker is struggling to keep the supply intact and curb the rising delivery waiting period. The extent of the popularity of the sedan can be sensed that it had clocked unprecedented bookings in the first week of its launch and since then it had been selling like hotcakes in the Indian market.

The automatic version that has come up as the soon to be model addition to the Ertiga car is underway and it is expected to be showcased in September this year. However, the development is in process and the launch of the automatic transmission Ertiga will be in Indonesia followed by other regions including India as the Indonesia market is primarily a market governed by MPVs. In India, the Ertiga’s automatic version is believed to perform well as already the car is priced much less than its competitors and this new model will be adding to the already popular Ertiga. But the talk of the town is the Hyundai Elantra launch that is all set to transform the premium sedan segment.
